According to the new features, it will be easier to use Google Maps now, while the app also offers new suggestions and recommendations. These features included a redesign explorer tab, matching food and drink outlet, group planning and many more features. New AR mode (AR)
Through this new feature of Google Maps, if you are in a crowded area and you are having trouble getting to the right-to-left, then it will give you a direction to walk. So, with the help of Arrow, Landmark, Map and Camera, an Animated Creature will also show that the user will be able to find the surroundings easily. It will be a strip view feature which will work with the help of camera instead of 3D. In this AR mode, VPS will now also be used with GPS, i.e. the visual position system that will help you find nearby location and landmark with the help of computer vision.
New explorer tab
With the help of this new tab, users will now be able to get the details of the place around their Nearbay location, which is the place around them. Tabs will now also show activity such as restaurants, coffee shops, events and famous places of food, with the help of which the user will have a list of places nearby.
Matching Venue
Like your own expert sidekick to help you quickly assess options and confidently make a decision, we've created "Your match" on @googlemaps—a number that suggests how likely you are to enjoy a place based on your unique preferences. #io18
With the help of the power of machine learning and data collected by Google Map, the service will tell you how much of your favorite food and drink is around you. These data maps will tell you how many times you have visited that place and how much time you spent there.
Group planning
The group planning feature will be for those friends who want to meet together at one place or who are interested. With the help of this feature, family and friends will be able to plan or make cordinates easier. To select this feature you have to press long on that place, after which your friends and family can vote on whether they want to come there or not. Once the place is finalized, the Maps will have this function that they will reserve your reservation and place the cab for you.
