Usually the Whatsapp icon can not be changed. But its layout can be changed using the beta version 2.18.74 update for Android. This update is for the latest Beta Android smartphones.

In this new update, five different icons of Whatsapp have been given. These icons are designed like circles, squares, round scairs and teardrop that look very beautiful. With this update, the look of whatsapp's look has changed. However, you will not get any changes in the color. It will look like the first green color.

According to a report by the Android Police, there is no change in the icon, but its edges have been shaped to make it an adaptive.

These updates from WhatsApp will support all versions of Android. Please note that to use this feature, your smartphone must have a launcher support. Therefore users should download any third party launcher like Nova or Microsoft Launcher.

This new icon is almost the same as the old icon of What'sapp. Just in this icon is given inside an encased mask, in which you can select the shape as per your wish.
