TRAI released a consultation paper on Friday to review the mobile number portability process to solve customer's pay scales.
NEW DELHI: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has issued a consultation paper on Friday to review the mobile number portability process to solve the pay scales of the customers. Regulatory in a statement said, "Because of the closure of some telecom companies, due to the closure of wireless access services, sufficient number of customers are bound to port their mobile numbers in other TSPs."
The statement said, "As a result of the closure of the services, TRAI has received complaints from customers of these service providers for difficulties in porting large numbers to their mobile numbers."
"These issues are causing inconvenience and dissatisfaction to mobile consumers," the statement said.
On the issues raised in the consultation paper, comments written by the stakeholders up to May 3, 2018 and comments against it have been invited till 17 May 2018.
